We are seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our WordPress websites and ensuring their optimal performance. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to implement and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize website performance, including page load speed, caching, and database optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites, including debugging and fixing bugs, compatibility issues, and plugin conflicts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and propose innovative solutions to enhance our websites.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, assisting them in problem-solving and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and provide accurate timelines for development tasks.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness of WordPress websites across different devices and browsers.
- Stay informed about website security best practices and implement necessary measures to protect against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
Preferred Qualifications:
- It's better to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) working as a WordPress Developer, with a focus on custom theme and plugin development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and core functionality.
- Experience with popular WordPress frameworks, such as Genesis, Divi, or Elementor.
- Expertise in responsive design principles and ensuring websites are optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Solid experience in controlling hosting and cpanel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
